Introduction to Black Powder Shooting--Saturday, May 25, 10 am to 2 pm
Here is a chance for club members who are new to black powder shooting or have never tried it before to learn about, and shoot, a variety of black powder guns, including revolvers, rifles and shotguns!

June 8--Introduction to Home & Personal Defense for the Firearms Owner
Club Member Ralph Mroz, retired police officer and NRA certified instructor, is offering a free class for members on the legal aspects of the use of force (open to all members), followed by a defense with pistol training (limited enrollment).

On a Sad Note
Family members of Don Harris came down to the club today to let us know that Don passed away peacefully in his sleep last night. Don was one of those responsible for building and developing the club in its early days.

NEW STEEL TARGETS AT THE CLUB!
Two new competition quality steel plate racks have been installed on pistol range 3, replacing the old plate racks. The Club has also purchased a steel gong target for the rifle range. This should be set up within the next two weeks.

Our 3rd Annual Stone Age Skills Day attracted over 100 visitors to the Club!
On Saturday, 10/13/12, more than 100 visitors to FCSC travelled back to the Stone Age! Adults and kids had a great time doing archery, atlatl, bolo, staff sling, primitive firemaking, rock painting and watching a master flint knapper at work.

Thank You to all the members who volunteered at the 2012 Franklin County Fair FCSC Booth!
FCSC again had a very successful booth at the fair. We gave out numerous membership applications and many booth visitors expressed interest in the upcoming Stone Age Skills day (October 13) and the Fall Turkey Shoots.

Family Archery Day was a Great Success!
Thanks to club members Dane Donato, Tom Houston, Mark St. Amand, John Burruto, Ron Altamari, Thierry Borcy, Nicholas Borcy, Chris Roberts and Beth Roberts, we had a wonderful event! About 60 adults and kids visited over the course of the day!

Friends of NRA Banquet and Auction
The 11th annual Friends of the NRA Banquest will be held on Saturday September 22 at the Greenfield Lodge of Elks. Doors open at 5:30 with plenty of prizes and auction items. Save on early bird packages for raffles and auction items before 09/11.

Work On The New Archery Range Has Begun!
Club members Dane Donato, Jon Rutka, Mark St. Amand, Joe Dagilus, Chris Roberts,Greg Olchowski, Greg Isles and Steve Kelsey have begun work on the new Archery Range! We anticipate the range will open by the end of May.
